M2@DCJ 2022 TECH FEST is being organised with the primary objective to promote and ignite interest in Science, Technology and Mathematics education and to inspire students to perform new Scientific activities, and make them aware of the latest developments in science and technology. Through a wide range of events, we aim to bring out the exciting aspects of science, its linkages with culture and society, and highlight its role in addressing current and future challenges.
PG Department of Mathematics is one of oldest and renowned Department in the region The department is supported under STAR college Scheme DBT (Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India) since 2020. In year 2021 Computational Mathematics Laboratory has been setup to provide outstanding environment in learning Mathematics through practical oriented learning. Department nourish students confidence, communication, professional competence, modeling skills through seminars, conference, symposium, workshop, Math Fest.
Established in 1999, PG Department of Computer Science & IT is the most vibrant department of Doaba College Jalandhar. The main aim of the department is to train the students with cutting edge technology to make them industry-ready and to educate the students to be problem- solvers and life-long learners to remain competitive throughout their professional journey. The department also aims to inculcate ethical values among the students in their professional career and to be good citizens and be sensitive to the societal issues and challenges of the 21st century. Department has in-house Software Development Cell (SDC), with faculty and students as its member who want to put theory into practice and use their knowledge for the improvement of society as a whole.
Doaba College Jalandhar (Punjab) is renowned premier Multi-faculty Postgraduate Co-educational Pioneer Institution of North India. The visionary founding fathers viz Sh. Bindraban Sondhi, Rai Bahadur Badri Dass, Sh. Jagan Nath Mittal and Acharya Lajja Vati were the icons of Arya Samaj and spartan freedom fighters who laid the foundation of Doaba College in 1941, to promote the philosophy of Maharishi Swami Dayanand. The primary mission of these philanthropists was to impart value based education to the less privileged and economically weaker sections of the society and make them fine human beings.The untiring efforts and able leadership of Sh. Chander Mohan, the President of 'Arya Shiksha Mandal' have helped the college to carve a niche for itself in the education sphere of the region. 81 glorious years of Doaba College have borne witness to its commitment to excellence, expertise and eminence in academic, research and social awareness
As recognition of its endeavours and achievements in the academic, cultural and social realms the UGC- NAAC reaccredited the college with 'A' grade in cycle - II. Doaba college has been conferred the coveted status of ' College with potential for Excellence '(CPE) by UGC, New Delhi and STAR COLLEGE STATUS by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India.
